We are thrilled to celebrate one of our own young authors, Aveline Moseley, a third grader at Clinton-Massie Elementary.

Aveline wrote and designed "The Little Hazelnut" herself, bringing an imaginative story to life in a way that is truly her own.

When she’s not writing stories, she loves creating art, crafting, junk journaling, and practicing martial arts. She’s an avid reader and enjoys spending time with her pets and playing with her friends.

In "The Little Hazelnut" readers are invited on a heartwarming journey with Hazelnut and Waffle as they set out to help a very sad Strawberry. When Strawberry’s favorite paintbrush goes missing, the trio embarks on an adventure filled with friendship, creativity, and a few surprises — like the delightful sneak appearances of Gerald the caterpillar!

With its charming characters and engaging storyline, The Little Hazelnut is a fun and inspiring read that reminds us all of the magic of helping others and never giving up on creating something wonderful.

Come to the Clinton-Massie branch and meet Aveline in person for her very first book signing.
